A Green Wallet Changed my Life

A Green Wallet Changed my Life

While the title of this post might sound unusual and incredulous, believe me when I say that a green wallet changed the trajectory of my life. While visiting Chicago, my close friend Claudia took me to her favorite store, a modern curio and furniture shop in Bucktown. I was walking around the store, admiring its curated selection of items when I saw a beautiful moss green wallet.

Tips on How to Create a Vision Board for the New Year

Tips on How to Create a Vision Board for the New Year

Happy New Year! As we reach the end of the year and look toward the future, I thought I'd share with you an annual tradition that I do every year - creating a vision board. I've been creating vision boards for the last decade, but it's only been the last four years that I've started to do this with friends. In the past, I'd squirrel away in my office and surround myself with magazines, my journal, scissors and glue, and then imagine my life over the next year. Now, I do the same thing but with friends over drinks. For me, it's more impactful to share this ritual with others as it feels more real when I share my intentions with others.

What Are You Most Grateful for in 2020?

I wrote about the emotion of hope a few weeks ago. This time, I wanted to talk about another powerful emotion - and that is gratitude. Some days, I find it hard to tap into gratitude. Think Your Way Through the Pandemic

Think Your Way Through the Pandemic

One of the best things that have emerged from the pandemic is the weekly Tuesday Zoom call with three other gal pals. At the start of the pandemic, my friend Roberta suggested a weekly discussion group to talk about something that we find interesting. We did our first talk on a Tuesday afternoon on March 24th, and we have kept this up most Tuesdays since….

There is Fire in My Heart

There is Fire in My Heart

Being outside during the pandemic has saved my family. In our backyard, my daughter Ella can play on her tree swing, my partner Andy can work in his shed, and I can do my gardening. That is harmonious living. Going river rafting and camping has been even more nourishing because we could enjoy nature and social distance safely with friends….
